Weaned on monster movies, punk rock and fueled by a vivid imagination, Curt has been pursuing a creative career from the time he was 13 years old. If he wasn't playing music, he was volunteering his time on any film production he could find out about. During high school, Curt cut his teeth working as a lighting tech, sound man, make-up artist, camera assistant or whatever else was needed, usually taking on several of these duties at a time.
After graduation, Curt decided to put his art skills to work and followed his childhood dream of making monsters. He moved to Los Angeles California in 1986. Working as a special make-up effects artist, he also found work as an actor, grip, audio tech, set painter, model maker and freelance anything that had to do with film production.
In 1992, Curt returned to Michigan and got into video production. Work in the commercial, corporate and television markets followed in almost every capacity, including production company owner.
Curt now works primarily as a freelance editor, director and shooter as well as heading up Room 39, a production company he formed in late 2007. Curt and Room 39 are currently producing the short film THE CONTRACT for which Curt is co-directing, editing and shooting.
